Sliding Gates are often the best solution for commercial premises with busy access points. FAAC offer a wide range of sliding gates automation products to suit all applications from residential properties to large commercial sites. The operators for Sliding Gates are capable of moving gates up to 2,200kg.

Electric Gates

Electric gates are extremely useful for commercial properties, as they add security and create a convenient way for vehicles to access. Once your electric gates are installed selection of your access control system is simple. In the event of emergency your electric gates can be manually operated with ease.

For residential sliding gates with max weight of 500kg (740) and 900kg (741)
A practical package, containing a gearmotor with built in electronic equipment and securing plate, automates both new and existing sliding gates weighing up to 900kg.
The electronic equipment inside the gearmotor facilitates and speeds up installation all at a lower cost. The control board enclosure has a “rotation” facility which helps with electrical wiring.
Anti-crushing protection is ensured by a control board directly controlling drive torque. For extra safety, an efficient obstacle detector is available.
The control board is simply programmed via 3 push buttons making set up at installation an easy process. An internal protection housing covers the control board preventing damage from insects and moisture.
As the gearmotor is non reversing, no electric locks need be installed. In the event of a power failure, the release device (protected by a customised key) makes it possible to open and close manually.

Easy programming: self learning
To initialise the automated system, just carry out the SETUP operation, selecting a suitable dipswitch. The following parameters are automatically self-learned during this operation:
- opening/closing times
- pause time (not automatic)
- traction/thrust force
- deceleration at end of opening and closing
- soft start (starting at gradual speed)

Continuously controlled electronic clutch, active at both opening and closing
- Four sensitivity levels
- movement reversed in case of an obstacle
- emergency stop function (if clutch operates for two consecutive cycles)
Power failure: emergency operation
Emergency battery (optional) ensuring operation during a power cut.

The control board inside the gearmotor facilitates and speeds up installation at a lower cost. Its compact size makes it ideal for residential applications with gates weighing up to 600kg.
Safety is provided by the special, adjustable oil bath lubricated anti crushing clutch, and by an intelligent electronic device which, when it detects the presence of an obstacle, reverses and stops gate movement. The FAAC 746 gearmotor performs uniformly, and all commands are supplied by an extremely safe and reliable microprocessor.
Constant, complete oil-bath lubrication of mechanical components plus assembly in a high resistance pressure-cast aluminium body ensure a very long life.
As the gearmotor is non reversing, no electric locks need be installed and, in the event of power failure, the release device (protected by a customised key) makes it possible to open and close the gate manually.

The FAAC 844 REV screw gearmotor is reversible:when no power is supplied to the motor, the sliding leaf can always be moved manually.
An electric lock must be installed to maintain the gate in a closed position.
The special twin-disk anti-crushing clutch, in an oil-bath, enables thrust adjustment from 0 to 68 daN.
Constant, complete oil-bath lubrication of mechanical components plus assembly in a high resistance pressure cast aluminium body ensure a very long life.

The FAAC 884 gearmotor was designed to move industrial gates in the simplest and safest way. “Industrial” duty is assured by the gearmotor’s exceptional performance, enabling intensive use frequency for gates weighing up to 3500kg.
The special twin-disk clutch in an oil bath enables drive torque adjustment from 0 to 155 daN. The steel housing is cataphoresis treated and polyester painted, it is highly resistant to varying environmental conditions, offering reliability to meet the most severe demands.
Automation is controlled by a high-tech control board with microprocessor, which controls all the necessary functions and is designed for connection to control, safety and signalling devices.
